Xolotl

In Aztec mythology, a dog helps the deceased across the raging river, Aponayan, which is the first level of danger on the

to Mictlan, or the place of eternal rest. This installation, featured a papier-mache sculpture of the dog god, Xolotl. It was created to honor all those dogs that have helped me to navigate other types of treacherous shores in my lifetime.
